About Courchevel & Our Location

Courchevel is made up of five distinct villages set along the valley, each with its own character:

  • Courchevel Le Praz (1300)

  • Courchevel Village (1550)

  • La Tania

  • Courchevel Moriond (1650)

  • Courchevel 1850

Together, they form part of the world-famous Three Valleys ski area, the largest linked ski area in the world.

Flocon de Neige – Our Apartment

Our apartment, Flocon de Neige, is located on the third floor (just below the penthouse) within the managed residence of the Domaine de l’Ariondaz, at the far end of Courchevel Moriond (1650). Moriond is the second-highest of the Courchevel villages, after 1850, and enjoys spectacular views down the valley below.

The apartment is just a few minutes’ walk from Moriond’s main shops, bars, and restaurants, and only a five-minute bus ride from Courchevel 1850.

Ski In / Ski Out Convenience

Flocon de Neige benefits from the practicality of a dedicated ski and boot locker room, combined with the luxury of ski-in, ski-out access.

From the boot room door, it’s about a one-minute walk or gentle slide to the free Petit Moriond gondola, which takes you directly to the ski front in 1650. From there, a short linked piste leads straight to the Ariondaz high-speed chairlift.

At the end of the day, you can ski back via the blue Cépes piste, finishing right back at the ski locker door, before taking the lift up to the apartment.

Why Moriond (Courchevel 1650)?

Courchevel Moriond, also known as 1650, is loved for its sunny aspect, relaxed atmosphere, and excellent skiing. Sitting slightly lower than 1850 but still high enough for reliable snow, Moriond enjoys long hours of sunshine and wide, beautifully groomed pistes that are ideal for all abilities.

It has a more laid-back, village feel than Courchevel 1850, with a great choice of welcoming bars, restaurants, and shops – all without losing the high-quality skiing and lift access Courchevel is known for.

Moriond also offers direct, fast access into the wider Three Valleys ski area via the Ariondaz and neighbouring lifts, making it easy to explore Méribel, Val Thorens, and beyond, while returning at the end of the day to a calmer, less crowded base.

For many guests, Moriond strikes the perfect balance: fantastic skiing by day, a friendly and unpretentious atmosphere by night, and stunning views down the valley throughout your stay.

The apartment is ideally located for exploring the vast Three Valleys ski area, giving you easy access to Méribel, Val Thorens, Les Menuires, Saint-Martin-de-Belleville, and Orelle (the fourth valley). With the world’s largest network of lifts and immaculately groomed, interconnected pistes, it’s possible to ski somewhere different every day of your stay.

If you’d prefer to explore beyond Moriond without skiing, there is a bus stop directly outside the apartment. A free ski bus runs regularly (approximately 3–4 times per hour) between all five Courchevel villages and continues late into the evening, making it easy to enjoy dinner or nightlife elsewhere in the resort.

For guests arriving by car, there is a large free car park directly in front of the building, as well as an additional overflow car park reserved for residents of the Ariondaz complex.

The building itself is served by a lift that opens just outside the apartment door and also takes you directly down to the ski locker room. From there, a short snowy path leads to the free Petit Moriond gondola, providing effortless access to the ski front and lifts each morning – and an easy return at the end of the day.
